My mom gave me a cell phone the other day. No minutes or anything, of course. Just a cell phone. Apparently, I'm supposed to keep it in my car, because even without any sort of calling plan, it can dial 911 if I ever really need to do that. I've sworn for years that I would never ever buy a cell phone. They're just evil. Sometimes, I leave my house for no better reason than that I'm avoiding a phone call. (They can't call me in to work if they can't find me, muahaha.) There is simply no force on earth that could make me want to be available 24/7. I need my space. A cell phone is so intrinsicially not what I am about. Yeah. But, now I have a cell phone. I didn't buy it. And there is part of me thinking, "Well, I never said I wouldn't buy a calling plan. I said I'd never buy a cell phone. Buying minutes for a cell phone that was thrust upon me is totally different." Damn you, Mom!
