Probably a new job. But maybe not.
2009-10-08 6:08 p.m.

My temp agency pimp called yesterday. After tests at the pimp office, and more tests at the client office, and an interview with the client, I have been officially offered a temp-to-hire position at the call center, starting Oct 26. All I have to do is pass (another) background check.

My pimp ran one background check on me already, but now the client wants to do another one. I am really pretty irrationally worried about this. My pimp knows all about my criminal record (possession of paraphernalia, 1997) and she said it wasn't a problem. I'm assuming she must have passed that info onto the client. Oh but what if she didn't, and what if the client gets angry when they find out?

I'm trying to tell myself that this is just a formality. I think I'm obsessing because this job has been foremost in my thoughts for almost a month now, and having even one more hoop to jump through really seems like it might break me.
