Halloween, voting, and computer update
2008-11-04 9:54 a.m.
I went to a Halloween party on Saturday night. I was DUMB and did not bring a working camera. Fortunately, the Oompa-Loompa was actually a real photographer. His photos are here. I went as Intoxicatia, a superhero with the power to make people drunk. My powers worked a little too well on Rijid, so there are no pictures of him. *** I work 12-8 today, so I got up early to vote. I only waited about 20 minutes, but as I was walking home I ran into a guy hanging up Obama posters, and he said there were about 100 people in line when the local polling place first opened. That's awesome. I want record-shattering turnouts. I could easily go off on a complete gibbering rant here, but I will not. It's time for change, etc. etc. If you haven't voted yet, please do so, ASAP. *** Oh, and in other news, I has an internet again. Woohoo! The real computer is still in the shop, but last night Rijid got tired of waiting, and hooked up one of the numerous spare machines we inherited from my dad. I put Firefox on it right away, because that's just how I roll. The computer guy just called. Apparently, it's a really bad infestation, and he has to revise his cost estimate. We're looking at a complete wipe and reinstall. Damn you IE! DAMN YOOOOUU! (The old computer had Firefox, but Rijid says he sometimes forgot, and used IE instead. D'oh.)
