Today's workout

Today is my first day 100% completely OFF in maybe a month. I've had one day off a week for the last three weeks, but there was always some insanely large time-consuming obligation that had to be factored into any plans for the day.I was going to go for a bike ride. 30 miles is do-able now, but not much more. 37 miles nearly killed me. In my brain, this was at least partially because I always had a time constraint. Can't take a full rest break can't even dismount from bike while water bottle is refilled must hurry home for laundry/baking/two-hour drive/all of the above. Today, though, there's none of that other nonsense. Although I technically work tomorrow and Fri, they're both only six-hour shifts. I can do all kinds of responsible shit after work, so today was gonna be Bike Ride Day. This time, I really would break the 40-mile mark. At 8:30 this morning, I walked to the gas station, and determined it was already too fucking hot to be outside. Dammit. Instead, I'm taxing my heart rate by drinking mass quantities of extra-sweet iced coffee, but I know it's not really the same thing.
