First the pope, and now this...

Daylight savings time sucks. I tried to reset my watch this morning, and the pin came out entirely. If I put it back in, it still seems to keep correct time, but the world of daylight savings time is lost to me forever. I'll have to move to one of those places that don't recognise it. Except I think they're all in different times zones than I am right now. CURSE YOU, CRUEL FATES!!I got that watch in 1996. It's the only piece of jewelry I've worn every single day for nine years. I took it off only to shower, and always put it back on again before even leaving the bathroom. It is quite possibly my most beloved personal possession. And, no, I can't just buy another watch. I have another watch, and it's making me insane. This other watch was a gift from my sister a few years ago, and she was always a little hurt that I never wore it. It's a very nice watch. It has Grover on it. But MY watch runs backwards. I can't get my brain around any other kind of watch anymore. That sounds stupid. I learned to tell time on a standard analog clock face. I can still tell time on an analog clock. But my personal time, attached to my personal wrist, follows different rules. I think part of the problem is that Grover has no numbers. If I had to start the process with "The little hand is on the two..." maybe the adjustment would be easier. Instead, I look down at my wrist, and think, "Ah. 10:10. Wait, that can't be right. It's...uh...1:50? OH GOD I MISS YOU BACKWARDS GOOFY!!"
