Boo. Yah. We FINALLY have a couch again. It's blue, which is cool. It's leather, which is awesome. It was $65, which is just too amazing to be believed.

Since September, we've been saying this is really something that HAS to happen, and yesterday, like magic, it did. The thrift store is only about three blocks away, so we bungee-ed it to the top of my car. I was positive this would end up being very bad for the car, or the couch, or both, but it was so simple.

If the couch was an inch wider, it wouldn't have fit through the apartment door. If it was an inch longer, it might not have made it around the corner into the living room. But, this is absolutely the most perfect couch in the entire world history of couches. If God had a couch, it would be exactly like this one.

George was frightened of the couch all last night. He wouldn't even hang out in the living room, and both times that I tried to carry him to the couch he struggled to get down as soon as he saw where we were headed. Apparently, furniture that smells vaguely like cow freaks him out. Maybe he thought it was a new pet. Right now though, he's all stretched out across it, and fighting to keep his eyes open. I'm glad they're going to be friends.
