Today's Stupid Internet Trick is Googlism. I was strangely thrilled to learn that I am not only "an exceptional person who is to be worshipped and adored at all times," but also "a spacious 2 story brand new home located south of san miguel near the plaza las glorias hotel." I had no idea I was doing so well.

Work continues to be workish. For the first month, I had basically no schedule flexibility at all. I had to be there whenever I was scheduled because I was scheduled to be learning very specific things. Then, there were a few blissful weeks when I could actually ask for a specific day off, and provided one of the three other managers hadn't already asked, get it.Now, there are two new people doing the Management Dance. I can't trade shifts with them, because they're not actually managers. I can't trade shifts with whatever manager is working with the new person, because I'm not qualified to train anyone yet. I thought this would be all over with by mid-November, and there would be a small army of certified managers I could trade shifts with. But nooooo. Apparently, since I was hired when they really desperately needed another manager ASAP, I got put through the six weeks o' hell crash course. Now we still need managers, but not quite so badly, so the new people get to go through it all at a more leisurely pace. Maybe they'll be certified in December. Good for them. But still, grrr. I work straight through Halloween weekend, and I have to miss the next LARP. Also, the absolute closest to a weekend off I could get for the weekend Rijid and I were planning to go to Iowa and see Yahn's band is Friday 11-8, Sat off, and Sunday 11-8. That's um...almost a weekend. Soon, though, it will all be ok. I hope, anyway.
