Just think! You wouldn't have to bother coming here unless you knew I'd updated! You certainly wouldn't end up reading any of my old stuff by mistake. I'm told some of it's pretty amusing, but goodness knows, I don't want anyone getting bored and wanting to find out more about me, and reading it all. No, I definitely don't want that. I don't want you visiting my site at all, actually, if you're not here specifically to read the newest entry.

Wait. That's not right. Lemme try again.

You know, that "buddy list" screen that any D-Lander can access? Weren't you even a little worried that maybe it wasn't working properly? Well, now you don't have to rely on it anymore. Instead, you can amass a mighty pile of junkmail from me, and then uh...go log in, and see that yes, I did indeed update, because I'm still showing up red on your buddy list.

OK, maybe it doesn't make a lot of sense for anyone with a Diaryland account to join the list. But...not all my readers are DiaryLand folk. I've got at least one stalker I picked up from the LARP. I'm very concerned about my stalkers' needs.

Hmm. Maybe that's not really what I meant to say either.

I'm looking for a more personal touch. I will personally smack my own personal spambot, and he'll let you know every single time I babble and obsess about things you got sick of hearing about two weeks ago! Won't that be great?

You know, I really have no idea at all why I have a notify list.
