Maybe you didn't hear me. I BOUGHT A COPY OF ZOD WALLOP FOR $3!!!!!

Anne loaned me that book maybe a year and a half ago. I fell in love. The next time I had some extra money, I looked around for my own copy. It wasn't in any bookstores. It wasn't at Amazon. I learned it was out of print. I could have gotten a copy on E-Bay for $40. It hurt, but I decided I didn't need the book quite that badly.

(I just checked. Yup. Still not available at Amazon, or even at White Wolf Publishing. Truly, the Book Gods were smiling upon me today.)

So, I'd resigned myself to maybe never actually owning this book. And there it was at Chimera, on the 50% off rack! Woot woot!

Oh, and I also picked up the other nine Sandman books. But I knew I was going to do that. I mentioned my Bed Plan to my parents, and they said they thought I could get a bed for less than $600. That seems kinda low to me, but I figured I could afford to drop $200 on books, and still have $800 or so when the dust settled to buy a bed.

It's been a good day so far. I've just gotta make a few phone calls, and then i plan to spend the rest of the day reading. The only tricky part will be convincing D to give me the comfy chair. We got up at 9, to go to Chimera before he had to be to work. He didn't come to bed till 4, and I honestly didn't think he'd get up. But he did, and we went, and then he came home and called in sick. Whatta bum.

Maybe George and I will go read Sandman together in bed, or something.
