Weebah weebah weebah.

Hee. Ignore that. You can ignore this next bit too:

Weebah bong weebah weebah bong bong. Meow.

***

I was going to explain what exactly that was, but I don't think I'm going to. Weebah.

***

I'm actually strangely thrilled to not have anything in particular to say today. I could go anywhere! I could say anything! I could end up a million miles from where I started! This might just be the entry that cures cancer!

Or, maybe not.

D. hasn't worked a full week in a really long time. Money doesn't quite suck yet, but it probably will very soon. And even then, it will only suck in a long term sense.

We had, at the beginning of last month, $1000 in savings. The plan was to not even think about it until we were ready to move.

Then, D.'s hours started getting cut. Then, Christmas happened. Then, we happened to be out shopping, and saw a PlayStation II just sitting on a shelf. (They only would sell it to us if we also bought three games, which is probably why it was still sitting there. D. said yes yes a thousand times yes, and I reached for Mr. CreditCard. $500. Ouch.) Recovering from that triple whammy meant I had to take $400 out of savings to cover the rent.

His place of work just called. They said he gets two shifts next week, instead of one, as originally planned. I whimpered. We do technically have the money to cover everything this month, but we're probably going to have to dig deeper into the moving fund.

This isn't really an issue for me. I don't particularly want to move. I like it here. I love this huge apartment that's so near to so many cool people.

But we can't stay here forever. I knew when we moved here that it would probably only be for a year or two at most. It was just good to know we could leave at any time. We weren't stuck here. Having $1000 just sitting around collecting interest is very comforting. I hate losing that.

Apparently, the other smalltown diner type place around here finally went under last week, and Kristina's has been hella busy. But an extra $20/night from me just doesn't come close to D's checks being cut in half, or worse.

Vincent says JMS goes through this every winter. Things should pick up again by mid-February, at the latest. We should be able to make it till then. Then, we can start to rebuild. That's what I keep telling myself.

Dammit, when will that Mysterious Eccentric arrive with his magic wand and giant sack o cash for me? I've been waiting forever.

***

Feh. I wanted to write something fun today. Let me start over.

Weebah weebah bong splash, bong splash, weebah weebah bong.

Just kidding.
